My First Blog Post I Guess!

Hey there! Welcome to my first ever blog! I decided I wanted to start up a neat little blog for myself in order to be able to get my thoughts out into the world in a format that's truly my own. Social media and all of its horrible algorithms have genuinely done more harm than good to me, and part of why I made this blog is because I at least have an excuse to actually do stuff with it since I made the entire site (mostly) from scratch and have an incentive to actually add onto it since it truly is my own.

My online life has always been pretty chaotic, and I've been in numerous places, many of which I shouldn't have even been around, and it's nice to finally settle down somewhere. Honestly, I'm excited to begin this blogging journey, because I finally have somewhere to breathe. I grew up in the age of social media and spent many of my younger years chasing likes and online fame, and now that I'm older, I'm honestly grateful I never got more than 500 followers on any given platform back in the day, because after seeing how young fame ruined some of these people I see online, I decided I wanted no part in that.

More often than not, I see a lot of interesting social phenomena occur when it comes down to social media, the modern age, and the youth who grew up on it like myself, and I also have had my attention span and emotional stability destroyed by it. I'm hoping I'll get to not only document my observations, but help my brain recover from the genuine madness that is the modern internet. It's gonna be a long road, but I hope and pray that it's a good road. Do be wary you might not agree with some things I say, and that's okay! Disagreement is healthy! I'm aware of the propensity of the community I come from to make callout carrds on eachother, and if you're going to do the same to me for my takes, I suggest at least learning HTML and making your own website from scratch instead of using a drag and drop site with a 50 element limit. It'll teach you some new skills and maybe even you'll love making a site of your own too! I could go on a whole rant about carrd and other services like it, but that's multiple topics in need of multiple separate posts across time in order to fully get my thoughts out. Nonethelesss, I'm happy to start this journey, and I'll see you in my next blog post!
